From computers and servers to mobile devices, routers, printers and more, the Dell KACE K1000 Management Appliance keeps you on top of all the hardware and software installed across your network. As the Internet of Things (IoT) — with an ever growing and diverse array of connected devices — expands to the enterprise, visibility over your entire connected environment is becoming increasingly more critical. The K1000 discovers all hardware and software on your network, and provides you with ongoing IT inventory management, IT asset management (ITAM) and software asset management (SAM), with robust reporting and alerting for most platforms. Whether you’re running Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, UNIX, Chrome, iOS or Android, the K1000 provides you with detailed oversight of your entire environment from a single pane.

Do more with detailed discovery and inventory

The K1000 scans your entire network to identify all connected devices, and provides you with detailed hardware and software inventory for Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX systems, as well as OS and hardware inventory for Chromebooks, utilizing Google APIs. The K1000’s network discovery and asset inventory functions can be performed with or without installing an agent.* By using SNMP and other network scanning protocols, the K1000 enables you to obtain actionable information even about connected, non-computer devices, such as networking gear, printers and IP telephony.

Conserve resources with comprehensive asset management

The K1000 automates asset management from deployment to retirement through a single configuration management database (CMDB), including asset data audits, tracking, compliance and reconciliation. In addition to detailed hardware discovery and software inventory for computers and servers, SNMP object identifiers can be tracked for non-computer devices, such as toner levels for printers. All asset data is integrated across complementary K1000 functions, such as patch management, alerts and service desk, and can be easily tracked through the asset’s lifecycle. The K1000’s asset management includes common asset fields and software license types and out-of-the-box support for storing asset associations, ensuring accurate tracking of financial and service impacts of asset changes.

Integrate easily with Dell Enterprise Mobility Management

The K1000 is integrated with Dell Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM), our award-winning solution for managing corporate owned and BYO mobile devices. That means all your users’ mobile-device inventory data is automatically delivered from EMM, enabling K1000 to provide comprehensive, unified anypoint systems management for your entire connected environment.

Reduce maintenance costs for your Dell systems with warranty integration

The K1000 automatically pulls warranty information for all your Dell systems and devices — PCs, laptops, printers, servers, storage, tablets and peripherals — directly into its asset inventory. This enables Dell hardware owners to efficiently manage the lifecycle of their Dell devices, reducing costs by avoiding post-warranty maintenance and retiring old assets in a timely manner.

*Installing an agent is necessary for other functionality, such as patch management and software distribution.
