Securely scan documents in any virtual environment
RemoteScan enables you to share a single scanner or imaging device with other users over a network (IP, LAN, WAN) — similar to sharing printers. With RemoteScan, you can access scanners connected directly to client workstations using any software running on vWorkspace, Terminal Server/ Remote Desktop Session Host (TS/ RDSH), VMware, or Citrix servers. Simply scan directly from your workstations without compromising network security or establishing shared folders or directories. RemoteScan uses native RDP, ICA, and PCoIP protocols.
RemoteScan allows you to:
- Share any number of scanners on a network
- Scan directly from TWAIN - compliant and WIA - compliant scanners and imaging devices
- Lock down scanner settings to limit impact on network performance
- Meet security compliance regulations — scanned images are never stored on the local workstation and are instead sent to the server over the encrypted virtual channels
RemoteScan Enterprise enables you to scan directly from any TWAIN- or WIA-compliant scanner into any hosted software. Use RemoteScan Enterprise for remote desktop scanning with all applications for EMR, document management, financial management or other software that runs on any Windows TS/RDSH, VMware, Citrix or XenDesktop Server.
RemoteScan Universal gives you all the functionality of RemoteScan Enterprise, as well as support for ISIS-compatible software. It supports the scanning functionality of all enterprise or hosted software applications, including those for medical records, document management and financial management.
RemoteScan for LANs enables you to share a single scanner with up to 100 other PCs located anywhere on your network. Please note that this version is only for use on LANs that do not use RDP (remote desktop protocol), PCoIP, or Citrix applications. RemoteScan for LANs cannot legally be used on PCs or thin clients that access applications through RDP or ICA.
