Features

There are two key components of Toad for Cloud Databases.

Toad client –This key component is the intuitive user interface, which allows you to easily configure, as well as write and execute SQL statements for remote cloud databases. All the standard Toad features are provided. Features of Toad for Cloud include:

  • SQL editor – Create, execute, modify and save queries. View and edit data and processing DDL commands too.
  • Query builder – Construct complex operations without the need for SQL programming with a graphical interface. You can select tables and views, select and join columns, and add conditions. Additionally, you can query and join data across multiple database platforms.
  • Report generator – Generate business-quality reports of either data or database structure. Show the structure and source code for database objects, or display data as tables, pivots and charts.
  • Import/export utility – You can export data to Excel with just one click. A variety of other file formats are supported, including .CSV, .TXT, .HTML, and PDF.
  • Database browser – Display and manage all database objects graphically, with single-click access to object details, data and underlying DDL.

Toad Data Hub – View the results you want to see in the familiar tabular format of rows and columns. The Toad Data Hub receives the SQL statements submitted by the user through Toad Cloud, translates them into the appropriate API calls to fetch or update data in the designated cloud database, and creates it in your familiar format.

The Toad Cloud client is installed on the server, and can be run on the local PC. It can also be deployed out in the Amazon cloud.
