Its extensive automation and intuitive workflow dramatically simplify SQL management, SQL tuning, object management, and much more. This robust DB2 tool incorporates more than a decade of development expertise and user experiences to make DB2 management easier than ever.

Generate SQL queries easily with a GUI-based query builder

Create SQL queries using a visual query builder with integrated SQL modeling. An intuitive GUI allows you to visualize your data and tables and easily build a query through point-and-click/drag-and-drop functionality—without typing long SQL statements or knowing complicated SQL syntax.

Improve SQL quality through an interactive tuning lab

Use the SQL tuning module for DB2 z/OS, which provides a complete SQL tuning lab with context-sensitive advice. See extended EXPLAIN plan details and explanations. Focus your attention on areas that yield the highest return from tuning. Context-sensitive tuning writes SQL statements with the click of a button and applies selected advice. Tune problematic SQL in a fraction of the time.

Create and manipulate database objects through intuitive GUIs

Browse, create, clone and alter database objects and permissions via intuitive GUI-based wizards. You can also view advanced object properties and DDL as well as create HTML or PDF schema reports for the objects.

Streamline workflow and automate repetitive, time-consuming tasks

Move from one task to another with ease; manage projects effortlessly with task automation.

Customize the UI to save time and suit your needs

Reduce the time you spend navigating through databases with customizable, advanced object filters that show only objects of interest. You can tweak the user interface to suit your workflow. Best of all, Toad saves your settings, so you don't need to repeat the customization every time you start.
