Hello. My name is Sandi Kohlhorst. I'm a technical product specialist with Dell. This video will demonstrate how to install an agent using the agent manager in Patch Manager, formerly known as ScriptLogic Patch Authority Ultimate. You can use the console to preform a push install of the agent service to your target machines. In order to perform the push install, each target machine must be online and have an active network connection to the console during the installation process.
With agent manager, you can install an agent onto machines, you can assign a different policy to machines that already contain an agent, or you can uninstall agents from machines. The agent manager also will show you which machines currently have an agent installed.
Select Agent Manager. I'm going to filter by Workstations. And notice that these two workstations show that the agent policy is uninstalled. To install the agent policy, you can just select the Workstation, choose Install, Reinstall, and select the agent policy. And select Refresh. And now you'll see the new agent policy installed on this machine. The agent manager's now reporting that the machine contains an active agent, and the agent's actions are defined by the new agent policy.
