Performance diagnostics

SQL inspector — Diagnoses bottlenecks by comparing  and presenting SQL activity data, and detects poorly performing  and resource-heavy SQL statements.

SQL collector — Groups statements by the suspected severity of performance issues, and captures executing SQL statement based on your benchmarks.

SQL scanner —  Proactively targets inefficient SQL statements by analyzing SQL query plans, and extracts SQL statements in files, applications and database objects.

Performance monitor — Monitors Adaptive Server’s performance in real time, plus takes snapshots and  schedules monitors of its performance data and diagnostic metrics.

Performance optimization

SQL optimizer — Identifies the most efficient SQL statements by benchmark testing SQL alternatives, and creates a list of semantically equivalent SQL statements.

Index impact analyzer — Highlights the index set alternative that offers the highest performance gain with the least database impact, and identifies which SQL statements are affected by new indexes.

Migration analyzer — Tracks query plan and cost changes for better performance, and integrates abstract plan management to stabilize SQL performance during migrations. Also, helps stop performance degradations during upgrades and application rollouts.
